Uploading a Photo

UYSA Photo Requirements

 - FACE ONLY - Photo must be a clear image of player - and only the player - against a plain background.
 - Player must be facing the camera.
 - Player can NOT wear dark glasses or a hat.
 - Photo must upload a JPG or JPEG file or PDF
 - Maximum file size is about 1 MB.  Larger than this you will get an error message.
Note:
When you scan make sure that the portioned scanned is just the photo.  If it scans all the white area around the photo, then the actual face is only about 5% of the total photo.  That doesn't work and the photo is so small that I can't crop out the white space to use just the face only part as a way to help fix it.

In order to coach, you must have a FACE ONLY PHOTO uploaded to your profile.  The easiest way to access this is to go to your Team Roster.  If you don't know how to do this go to the next section for complete instructions.

Your FACE ONLY PHOTO must meet the following criteria:
1. JPEG or PDF
2. FACE ONLY.  Like what you would see on a passport or drivers license.  No hats.  No sunglasses.  No funny faces.
3. Recommended File Size 200-400 KB.  (KB is smaller than MB)  Max size is 512 KB.
When you scan make sure that the portioned scanned is just the photo.  If it scans all the white area around the photo, then the actual face is only about 5% of the total photo.  That doesn't work and the photo is so small that I can't crop out the white space to use just the face only part as a way to help fix it.
To upload, click on your name in the Team Roster.  Your coaching profile will open up.  Click on the box on the left hand side where there is a shadow of a person.  A pop-up box will open. (If this does not happen, modify your computer settings to allow for pop-up boxes to be displayed.  If you don't know how to do this contact Affinity 888-211-3444.)  Click on Upload File.  Select where on your computer the face only file is.  Click "Choose."  Click "OK."  If the file is a jpeg and the correct size, the photo will upload into the correct spot.  Sometimes if your internet is slow, it can take a few minutes for this to complete.  Click on "update."  This will make sure your photo is saved to the profile.

You can do the same thing to upload any player photo.  Click on their name in your Team Roster and go from there.

Technical questions beyond what is addressed here need to be directed to Affinity.  I have included everything that I know how to do.  If this isn't helpful in walking you through the process, you will need more technical help that I can give.  Affinity has a terrific technical staff on duty.  See hours below. Once a photo is uploaded it takes your registrar, the State Office or Affinity to delete the photo.

Call the State Office 801-268-3365 M-F 9am-5pm

Call or send a Help Ticket to Affinity 888-211-3444.  M-F 7a-7p.  Help tickets 24/7

No Scanner?  No Problem...

If you don't have a scanner, use your phone camera to take a FACE ONLY picture of your player or Birth Certificate. Email the photo to yourself.  You should be able to select the file size you want the photo to email (bigger than 150KM but less than 512KB.)  Send.  Most programs will send the photo as a jpeg file, which is what you need.

Voila'  you now have a digital image that you can upload during online registration.

You can also use this trick if you need to email a Participant Registration Form or Player Action Form.  Take a picture of the form and email it.  Make sure the lighting is adequate and it usually works great!

What happens if I upload the wrong photo, if it's sideways or too small?

If you upload a photo but it's the wrong one or doesn't look right, you can call/send help ticket to Affinity,  call the state office or email your registrar to delete it.  Neither the parent, coach, or admin can delete a photo once it is uploaded.

Send an email to questions@affinitysoccer.com

In the Subject line put: Utah, Club name, Player Name, Player birthdate - please upload.  Attach a replacement photo that needs to be uploaded.

Allow 24 hours for the upload to be taken care of.  You should receive an email confirmation when it's done.
